Based in our Salford facility, Langfields has an immediate requirement for a Welding Engineer.

It is expected that the candidate will be able to fulfil the role of Welding Engineer taking on the following responsibilities:- 

The Welding Engineer is responsible for:

  • Establish good working relationships with other Welding Control and Design Personnel, Project Managers, Project Engineers, QA/QC personnel, as well as production staff to ensure efficient operation of the welding process;
  • Developing welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment to the production process and contract requirements;
  • Act as an advisor on matters relating to welding;
  • Responsible for the production and control of documentation relating to the welding process;
  • Assist with the implementation of and maintenance of quality management system procedures in relation to welding activities;
  • Ensure that all welding and documentation is in accordance with relevant codes/standards and contract requirements;
  • Keeping informed in relation to developments in technology and techniques that may benefit the welding process within the company;
  • Any other duty which, from time to time, may reasonably be required to meet the needs of Langfields Ltd. and is within the remit of this post.
